Homeschooling is hard, and homeschooling children with learning challenges makes it a little harder (sometimes a LOT harder). However it can be done!
Homeschooling can reduce the stress level of the special needs parent.
You need to know where your child is academically, emotionally etc. and you should remind yourself what it feels like to be a child with a learning challenge.
Celebrate the little successes!
You need to carve out respite time to recharge your soul.
Schedule and routine are a must.
Don’t ignore your own health.
Create a peaceful haven in your home.
